'INSPIRED BY HARROGATE' - A NEW COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL DRYPOINTS
Clare was recently commissioned by the Mercer Art Gallery to produce a series of work titled "Inspired by Harrogate"
She has produced a series of three original drypoints focusing on the iconic museum buildings within Harrogate town centre. This intaglio printmaking method allowed her to explore the intricate architectural detail of these beautiful buildings through the use of line and tone. This technique doesn't lend it self to creating many prints as the plate wears down very quickly during the printing process. Therefore the edition is limited to just ten prints each.
The buildings selected are: The Royal Pump Room, The Majestic Hotel and The Royal Hall.
